Sleep has become a precious commodity – we love it and need it, but rarely get enough of it.

Sleep is essential!  It affects every process in the body.

Getting enough sleep plays an important role in your weight, metabolism, emotional wellbeing, our ability to fight diseases and develop immunity.  

As an obesity medicine physician, Dr. Troutman has seen the effect of inadequate sleep on her patient’s weight journeys.  Which is why Dr. Troutman became a CBT-I clinician.  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia is the first-line treatment of chronic insomnia.   CBT-I focuses on learning skills that affect the thoughts, and behaviors that are contributing to insomnia.  

SLEEP reMDy was created to help patients struggling with insomnia.  The treatment ranges from a medical consult where we can evaluate WHY you struggle with poor sleep, to a Virtual Workshop where she teaches the 5 Skills of CBT-I.  Learn more about the options here
